Freak Metal Records was founded inJune 2010 by Dead Nedry of Akem Manah to handle his own musical releases. The first release under the Freak Metal banner was the debut Akem manah album "The Devil Is In All Of You" in July 2010. Since the formation of the label. There have been 10 cd releases, multiple digital singles and other digital releases. With only limited time and work, there has been many reviews of material released by the label. Especially of Akem Manah releases. 

 

In 2014, there are 2 Akem Manah releases planned, 2 Dead Nedry releases, new Black Beings ep, debut Matanbuchus ep planned. There is also plans on a Wretched beast ep/album for early 2015 and a new band called November Rain to release music in early to mid 2015.

 

In 2015 there are plans to open the label to the public. With 2 bands already in the talks, and material being recorded... If interested, Please feel free to contact. But be known, we are just getting started, and the label won't be able to release material until spring / summer 2015.

 

 

 

WHEN THE TIME COMES (2015)... We will accept any band that is willing to work with us. We will release whatever you want, if you want to release one song a month every month, we will do that. We prefer albums or eps but we will take what we can get. Any quality, We want to release the music you want to release. If you are happy with it then we are happy with it.



Music will be sold on labels Bandcamp page and all digital partners including Itunes & Amazon. Will be 50% / 50% SPLIT ON ROYALTIES (sales on digital), except for your own personal  sites (bandcamp, website, etc) which you can keep all money. We ask that you not attempt to add music to Itunes and Amazon while under contract with us.



We will sell cds but being an underground label, we will print small amount of cd's, 100-250 at a time. You will receive 25% of each print. You can sell your copies however you want for as much as you want.

We will help in promotion, but ask that you also help. Once again, we are just starting and need all the help we can to help you the artist.

 

Artist who want to work will have to sign a 6 month, 1 year or 2 year release contract. This means we will continue to print cd's (and possible tapes & vinyl) and handle digital sales during this time for that release. After such time ends we will remove digital albums from sale and no longer print physical copies, although we will still sale our copies if any are left over. But once gone, they are gone.
